Tip

M59 5.2" Slant Length

4.25" Width

A very appealing large upper lateral meg from Copiapo, Chile.  The reddish brown root is just awesome with very little cracking and has a couple of defined nutrient holes.  The reddish brown bourlette is 97% complete with only the small section left of center missing (the white mark in the center of the bourlette just below the root is a reflection from the light, not missing bourlette).  It extends to the extreme edges and flows seamlessly into the crown enamel.  The crown enamel is glossy and a nice mixture of light gray and white.  The serrations are in good condition for this location.  The tip is present and sharp, but a little jagged as are the serrations around it.

M60 5.3" Slant Length

3.75" Width

An awesome large lower lateral meg from Copiapo, Chile. The well preserved root is yellowish orange and is over 1.25 inches thick.  The caramel colored bourlette is 97% complete with only a couple of missing sections, and flows seamlessly into the crown enamel (the white mark in the center of the bourlette just below the root is a reflection from the light, not missing bourlette).  The bourlette is very wide and dense with very little cracking.  The crown enamel is a nice mottling of off white and gray, with neat brown and black striations on the labial side.  The serrations are well preserved, and although it is hard to see in the picture the tip is sharp.  The tooth also has a common pathology to lower teeth, a deep bend just below the root.  To find large lower meg teeth in this condition is very rare.

An extremely large lower principal meg from Copiapo, Chile.  The brick red root is very solid with virtually no cracks, and is over 1.25 inches thick.  The bourlette is a beautiful mottling of brick red and white, and is 98% complete.  The crown enamel is an off white with a spackling of reds and browns mixed in.  The serrations are in good condition, and the tip is kind of pathological with 2 defined large tip serrations side by side.  Just a great large tooth.  This tooth is also on the "Best of the Best" page.

A big upper lateral meg from Copiapo, Chile.  The reddish yellow root is in good condition for a tooth this large.  The 95% complete bourlette is a cool mixture of brick red and yellow, and extends to the extreme edges.  The brick red flat side bourlette is 60% complete, showing the excellent preservation on this large tooth.  The crown enamel is an awesome mixture of tan, light gray, brick red and yellow, with very little peel on either side.  The serrations are in sharp and in great condition with just a handful missing on the entire tooth.  The tip is large and sharp with just a slight nick.  Excellent large tooth.

M85 6.05" Slant Length

4.75" Width

An awesome large upper lateral meg from Copiapo, Chile.  The light yellow and tan root is in excellent condition with four well defined nutrient holes in the center and protective nubs at the edges.  The 85% complete caramel colored bourlette is very dense and smooth and flows seamlessly in the crown enamel towards the edges.  The amazing blonde crown enamel is beautifully mottled with some yellows, tans and light grays.  It is extremely glossy and has virtually no peel on the entire tooth.  The serrations on this tooth rival that of even Lee Creek teeth, that's right Lee Creek.  They are large sharp, and not a single one missing on the entire tooth, even through the pathological wrinkle.  Oh, did I mention the tip, it is large and sharp and in pristine condition.  When was the last time you heard this type of description on a 6+ inch tooth?  No question, this is on the "Best of the Best" page.

A monster upper principal meg from Copiapo, Chile.  This huge tooth weighs over a pound and a halfThe enormous mahogany brown root is extremely well preserved with very little cracking, and nicely articulated large protective nubs on the sides The 90% complete brown bourlette is smooth and dense.  The blonde crown enamel is very glossy and has amazing mixture of gray, yellow, and red on the labial side.  The serrations are slightly worn, but present and just a few that are damaged.  The tip is slightly worn also, but actually better than the picture shows, because it bends up slightly.  It is still very sharp, and well preserved for a tooth this size.
